I know we often have a flood of emotions ...

Yet, if we let emotions rule, we will find ourselves only treading water and drowning in our own tears.

Emotions were given to us by God, and they are an invaluable part of our lives ...and they should be considered when it is decided how we are to proceed each day.  Yet, emotions alone cannot rule ...anymore than rules can rule by themselves.

Gilbert K. Chesterton  was addressing a statement by Jesus in reference to the Kingdom of God ...the part giving perspective to the camel and an eye of a needle.  He said, "Should industry learn to produce a very large needle, and biologists breed a smaller camel?"

Now, there is not a lot of clarity as to the difference between the Kingdom of God and the Kingdom of Heaven.

And is the statement by Jesus referring to a  condition of salvation that is a bit different than what He said it was at other times??

Jesus did clarify that with God all things are possible ...and after reading the 19th Chapter of Matthew, we can move to the 19th Chapter of Luke to see the story of a rich Zacchaeus. After proclaiming to give half of what he had to the poor and to restore fourfold those he had cheated ...Jesus said that day salvation had come to his house.

Had the heart of Zacchaeus changed??  Had our hearts changed when we accepted Jesus as our savior??

If Zacchaeus had continued with his cheating wealth, would his heart be able to change??

And what kind of witness would he have been to others if he had not changed??  To represent God's Kingdom, is to represent God ...and to impress upon others the genuineness of it.

I don't believe most of us are so poor that we need others to give to us, nor are we so rich that we need to make ourselves poor ...thereby drastically diminishing the economy of which charity depends upon.

It's much our attitude towards each and every situation that comes forth in our lives.

We should strive to keep our hearts with God.
